Amy Marie (Mudrey) Wertz was born on April 3, 1975 in Sharon, Pennsylvania. After graduating from Kennedy Christian High School in 1993, Ms. Wertz attended Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for 2 years. Ms. Wertz then transferred to Walsh University in North Canton, Ohio. While attending Walsh University, Ms. Wertz volunteered as a tutor and aide to blind students and she volunteered at a domestic violence shelter. In 1997, Ms. Wertz graduated cum laude from Walsh University with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Sociology. She also received the Sociology Student of the Year Award. From there, Ms. Wertz returned to Duquesne University to attend law school. During law school, she was a law clerk for a small law firm which specialized in personal injury and medical malpractice matters. In 2000, Ms. Wertz received her juris doctorate degree from Duquesne University. She also received the Cali Award of Excellence for the highest grade in trial advocacy.

In February 2002, Ms. Wertz began working for the Law Offices of Richard F. Kronz. Her practice focuses on workers' compensation, personal injury, wills, and probate and estate administration but she also has experience in contracts, medical malpractice, and real estate matters.

Ms. Wertz is currently licensed to practice law in the courts of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the Federal District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. She is also a member of the Allegheny County Bar Association.

Ms. Wertz is married to a fellow attorney, Allan J. Wertz, and they have one child. She enjoys leisure lime with her family especially outdoor activities. Ms. Wertz is also an avid sports fan, particularly of football and golf.
